FW '12 MEN'S SHOW NAUGHTY STUDENTS OR BAD TEACHERS? 17.01.2012

DSquared2’s  FW 2012/13 collection is essentially a tribute to the bygone days of youth & student movement of the 60’s and 70’s,  propagated by university and college kids. At the dawn of a budding youth culture where authority is questioned and conformity is the enemy. Such mentality of rebellion and counterculture created the bases for DSquared2 runway show: “Good Family, Bad Reputation!”
The eclectic mix of student and teen angst is heavily personified throughout the collection, from fresh faced, preppy college boys clad in fine blazer and loosely knotted ties, to budding counter-culture radicalist parading in funky bomber jackets.
This was DSquared2s’ invitation to rebel without a cause.
The key element of the season was silhouettes, featuring ultra low-waist, slim cut trousers that create a “bottle silhouette”. A balanced mix of skin tight and bell bottom pants, paired with cropped and fitted jackets. Layering was also another feature that took center-stage this season, with liberal, yet meticulous matching of fabrics and colors.
