Si è svolta sabato a Lisbona la prima edizione del “Men of the Year Award” promosso da GQ Portogallo con lo scopo di celebrare i migliori talenti internazionali.

Dean e Dan Caten, stilisti di Dsquared², sono stati insigniti dell’importante premio per la categoria “Fashion Icon of the Year”.

“Siamo onorati – affermano Dean e Dan Caten – di aver ricevuto un riconoscimento importante come il GQ Award. E’ bello sapere che il nostro lavoro viene riconosciuto in questo Paese che adoriamo e che ci dà grandi soddisfazioni”.

Nel 2007, Dean e Dan Caten erano stati premiati anche da GQ Spagna per il premio “Man of the Year” per la categoria “Best Designer”.

BREVE STORIA DI UNA FANTASTICA COLLABORAZIONE 

Il famoso cantante canadese Michael Bublé e i designer di Dsquared² Dean & Dan Caten hanno in comune molto più delle origini canadesi e della passione per la silhouette moderna e asciutta della linea Dsquared² Classic. Il loro sodalizio cominciò quando i gemelli vestirono la star della musica per la cerimonia di chiusura dei Giochi Olimpici invernali tenutisi in Canada nel 2011. In quell’occasione Michael chiese ai gemelli Caten di disegnare per lui l’abito per il matrimonio con la bella attrice argentina Luisana Lopilato, e da quel momento in poi l’amicizia fra Bublé e Dean e Dan non fece che consolidarsi e i designer furono più che felici di creare per Michael degli outfit per le occasioni più svariate, dando al cantante l’impronta del marchio.

As you well know Dean & Dan love to play with retro themes. Now we want you to join us in our game! The twins want you to go back in time – a different era but one that is transformed with Dsquared2’s special take on style inspired from 50s – 60s – 70s – 80s -90s!

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO FOR THIS WAREDROBE CHALLENGE?

First off, don’t worry about making a big investment, the products you use don't need to be Dsquared2.  The challenge is to try and style it with us in mind – in other words, your retro looks need to look Dsquared2-sexy!

Then photograph your creations and send them to: timemachine@dsquared2.com by 31st of May 12pm CET.

AND WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

• A pair of tickets to the next Dsquared2 show on June 25th and the opportunity to meet the designers backstage!

• The chance to join the Dsquared2 family for a 3 month internship in the company!

• Top 5 looks will be published on the official facebook page of Dsquared2, but there will be only 1 winner!
